"Updates Have Been Paused" During Installation

This message is normal and does not interrupt your INKY installation. The install continues running in the background even when you see this notification.

What's Happening

During INKY installation, you may see multiple messages stating "Updates have been paused. Click here to resume checking for updates." This is a display optimization that reduces network traffic between your browser and INKY's servers.

The installation process continues normally. You don't need to click anything or take action.

Why You See This Message

INKY pauses the real-time log updates to avoid excessive back-and-forth communication during the installation process. This makes the install more efficient and reliable, especially on slower networks.

The logs will automatically resume updating once the installation completes key configuration steps. You can also click the message to resume updates if you want to monitor progress in real-time.

What You Should Do

Nothing. Just wait for the installation to complete. The status will show "Install is in progress. This may take a little while" at the bottom of the screen.

If you're concerned about progress, you can click "resume checking for updates" to see the latest log entries. This won't affect the installation itself.

When Installation is Complete

You'll see a confirmation message and the installation status will change from "Installing..." to complete. The entire process typically takes 5-10 minutes depending on your organization size and platform (M365 or Google Workspace).

Troubleshooting

Installation appears stuck for more than 15 minutes: Refresh your browser and check the installation status. Contact INKY support if the issue persists.

Error messages in the logs: These require attention. Take a screenshot and contact INKY support for assistance.
