Q: Why did Kaseya acquire INKY?
A: Kaseya acquired INKY to strengthen its cybersecurity platform with next-generation email security. Email remains the number one attack vector, and INKY's technology provides the enterprise-grade protection Kaseya's MSP partners need. This acquisition strengthens Kaseya capabilities to offer a complete, integrated security operating platform.
Q: What does this acquisition mean for INKY as a product?
A: INKY's technology, mission, and capabilities remain intact. The product you depend on isn't going away; it's going to get better. With Kaseya's resources, INKY will benefit from accelerated innovation, expanded threat intelligence, and deeper platform integrations while maintaining the advanced email security features you chose INKY for in the first place.
Q: Will INKY continue to innovate after the acquisition?
A: Yes. Kaseya has a proven track record of accelerating innovation post-acquisition. For example, one year after acquiring SaaS Alerts, Kaseya delivered 37 epics, 15 innovative features, and full PSA integration parity. INKY will follow the same blueprint—more engineering resources, faster feature releases, and continued product investment.
Pricing & Contracts
Q: Will my pricing change?
No. Existing INKY customers will maintain their current pricing and contract terms with a 24-month price lock, ensuring no price changes from your current subscription. There are no surprise price increases or forced changes to your existing agreements.
Q: When will my contract renew, and what are my options?
A: Your contract renews according to your existing terms with INKY. At renewal, you may continue with INKY standalone or explore Kaseya bundle options if they align with your business needs. You are in control of that decision.
Q: If I want to purchase more INKY licenses, how do I do that?
A: Continue purchasing additional licenses directly through INKY as you always have. The process remains the same.
Q: Will Kaseya raise prices or force me into higher tier bundles I don't want?
A: No. Current INKY customers may choose to remain on their existing tiers and pricing. In addition, Kaseya has created two new bundle tiers for INKY protection. The Advanced tier offers more value for partners than was previously available with INKY's lowest feature tier. The Pro tier offers every feature of INKY at an attractive price. Lastly, if a partner chooses to shift to INKY as part of a Kaseya 365 User protection package, INKY will be included along with all other security tools available with 365 User.
Q: Will Kaseya force me into a 3-year contract?
A: No. Kaseya does not force 3-year terms. 1-year terms are available consisting of a committed minimum quantity (CMQ) and a monthly variable which can move up or down above that minimum. This contract/pricing policy provides MSPs with the flexibility to add new organizations and users without those new users being tied to any term commitment. Pricing discounts are available for 3-year terms for the CMQ.
Q: Will a customer be forced to be billed from Kaseya, or can they stay on INKY billing?
A: Existing INKY customers will remain on INKY billing through mid-2026. The transition to Kaseya billing will only occur once the process is fully tested, and confidence is established with new customers and migrated Graphus customers. If you choose to purchase additional Kaseya products, become a K365 User customer, or request to merge your existing INKY and Kaseya products and billing, you will transition to Kaseya billing at that time.
Q: Will Kaseya bill me for canceled services or services I don't use?
A: No. Kaseya will not bill partners for services that are canceled per the terms of the Master Services Agreement. Partners can cancel their renewal with 30 day notice prior to the commencement of the renewal period.
Q: I'm currently both an INKY customer and a Kaseya 365 User customer. How will my billing transition work?
A: For standalone (i.e., not through Kaseya’s 365 User package), billing will continue to be managed by INKY until the billing team completes all product integration activities (expected February 1, 2026).
Q: What happens to contracts or proposals currently in negotiation?
A: Anyone currently engaged with INKY is encouraged to continue and complete their process by signing up and provisioning with INKY directly at this time.
Q: Can I use different INKY tiers for different customer organizations?
A: Yes. Partners can choose to add organizations with either the Advanced or Pro features from the same MSP tenant. For example, you can use Pro for some customer organizations and Advanced for others. However, choosing the Advanced or Pro feature set applies to the entire customer organization—individual email accounts within a specific organization cannot have separate feature plans. This is exactly the way INKY functions today.
Q: What is Kaseya 365 User, and should I consider it?
A: Kaseya 365 User is a bundled offering that includes INKY Advanced along with other Kaseya solutions. This bundle is available for customers who want a curated collection of solutions aimed at protecting SaaS applications, offered at an attractive price point. It's an option, not a requirement. If you prefer to continue with standalone INKY, that remains fully supported.
Q: What are the minimum requirements for Kaseya 365 User?
A: Kaseya 365 User has a 25-user minimum. Most Kaseya products that integrate with M365 or Google Workspace directory services follow this scale.
Q: I am using Security Awareness Training (SAT) services provided by Wizer. What should I expect?
A: Your existing SAT customers should not be affected, and services will be provided until your renewal date. You can switch to BullPhish ID (Kaseya SAT solution) at a promotional cost of $0.50 per user per month. BullPhish ID will be integrated with INKY next year.
Product & Integration
What specific benefits will I see from this acquisition?
You'll see three key improvements:
Faster detection and response capabilities – INKY will leverage Kaseya's broader threat intelligence, deeper platform integrations, and more robust infrastructure to detect and respond to email threats faster and more effectively.
MSP-friendly pricing and support at scale – Kaseya understands MSP operations and will maintain pricing and support models that work for your business.
Continued commitment to integration and innovation – INKY will integrate with Kaseya's cybersecurity suite (RocketCyber, BullPhish, Datto EDR, SaaS Alerts), giving you the option for unified visibility and coordinated response. These integrations are optional, not mandatory.
Q: Will INKY integrate with other Kaseya products?
Yes, over time INKY will integrate with Kaseya's security platform. These integrations will enable coordinated threat response—for example, an email-based compromise detected by INKY could automatically trigger response actions like account lockdowns or endpoint isolation. These integrations are designed to give you options for unified security management, not to force you into purchasing additional products.
Q:Will I be required to use other Kaseya security products?
A: No. INKY will continue to function as a standalone email security solution. Integrations with other Kaseya products are optional and designed to provide added value if you choose to use them.
Support & Service
Q: Will my technical support experience change?
A: No immediate changes to your support experience. INKY's support team and channels remain in place. Over time, Kaseya will enhance support capabilities with additional resources and scale.
Q: Who should I contact if I have technical issues or questions?
A: Continue using your existing INKY support channels. In the immediate term, points of contact and support processes remain the same.
Q: Will there be any disruption to my service during the transition?
A: No. There will be no disruption to your email security service. INKY continues to operate normally, and your customers' protection remains uninterrupted.
Leadership & Vision
Q: What is Dave Baggett's role at Kaseya?
A: Dave Baggett, INKY's Founder and CEO, is now Head of Kaseya's Security Suite. In this role, Dave oversees the strategic direction and integration of Kaseya's security products, including INKY, RocketCyber, SaaS Alerts, BullPhish ID, and Datto EDR. His leadership ensures continuity of INKY's vision while expanding its capabilities within Kaseya's platform.
Q: What is Kaseya's vision for cybersecurity?
A: Kaseya's approach to cybersecurity rests on three principles:
End-to-end integration – Security components share data and coordinate automated responses for fast, effective compromise remediation.
Community-driven innovation – MSP feedback directly shapes the product roadmap.
AI-powered efficiency – Technology that amplifies your team's expertise rather than replacing it.
The goal is to build a security operating platform, not just a collection of individual tools.
Q: How does Kaseya measure success with INKY?
A: Kaseya measures success by customer outcomes—your profitability, your growth, and the value you deliver to your clients. The focus is on whether your customers are secure, successful, and efficient.
Timeline & Next Steps
Q: What should I do now?
A: Continue using INKY as you always have. There are no immediate actions required on your part. Monitor communications from INKY and Kaseya for updates on new features, integrations, and opportunities. If you have questions, reach out to your existing support channels.
Q: When will I see new features or integrations?
A: Product innovation and integrations will roll out progressively over the coming months. Kaseya is committed to delivering innovation at pace and with quality. You'll be notified of new capabilities as they become available.
Q: Where can I learn more or provide feedback?
A: Continue engaging with your INKY account team and support channels. Kaseya values MSP feedback and uses it to shape product roadmaps. Your input is essential to ensure INKY continues to meet your needs.
Additional Questions
Q: What if I'm still concerned about the acquisition?
A: We understand that change can be unsettling. Kaseya's request is simple: don't make rushed decisions. Give us a few months to demonstrate through actions—not just words—how this acquisition strengthens INKY and benefits your business. You're in control, and we're confident you'll see the value where this is headed.
Q: How can I stay informed about updates?
A: Watch for regular communications from INKY and Kaseya, including product updates, webinars, and community events. You can also reach out directly to your account team with specific questions or concerns.
