Personalize the encryption portal and notification emails to match your organization's branding and security requirements.

Access Settings
Navigate: Admin Center β Outbound Protection Settings β Encryption Portal Settings
Portal Settings

Disable Plaintext Replies
Default: Recipients' replies sent to sender's inbox as plaintext
Enable this to:
Keep all replies inside encryption portal only
Prevent plaintext copies in email
Force senders to use portal for viewing replies
Configuration:
Check Disable plaintext replies from the portal
Save
Recipients must now reply through portal
Senders access replies by logging into portal
Use this for maximum security when all communication should remain encrypted.
Hide SSO Login Options
Default: Portal shows Microsoft, Google, and other SSO providers
Enable this to:
Show only email-based sign-in (one-time code)
Simplify login for external recipients
Control authentication methods
Configuration:
Check Hide SSO login options for Encryption Portal
Save
Recipients see only email authentication option
Notification Customization
Customize text in encryption notification emails:
Encrypted Message Header
Default: "Email Encryption" Appears: Top of notification email Use: Your company name or custom branding
Encrypted Message Title
Default: "Encrypted Message Received" Appears: Main title in recipient notifications Use: Custom security message
Encrypted Reply Title
Default: "Encrypted Reply Received" Appears: When sender receives reply notification Use: Match your organization's tone
Read Receipt Title
Default: "Message Viewed" Appears: When recipient opens message (if read receipts enabled) Use: Custom tracking confirmation
Encrypted Sender Notification Subject
Default: "Notification: Encrypted Message" Appears: Subject line of sender's confirmation email Use: Clearer subject for sender awareness
Encrypted Recipient Notification Subject Prepend
Appears: Prepended to original subject in recipient notification Use: Add [SECURE] or [ENCRYPTED] tag automatically
Informational Text
Appears: All encryption notifications Use: Add help desk contact, usage instructions, or trust indicators

Select Recipient Notification to preview
View formatted email with your changes
Adjust text as needed
Customization Tips
Leave blank to use defaults - Only change what needs customization
Keep it simple - Avoid overwhelming recipients with text
Include contact info - Help users who have trouble accessing portal
Test before deploying - Send test messages to verify appearance
Match brand - Use terminology consistent with your organization
Revert Changes
Click Revert Changes to restore all default text without saving.
